Tehran, the second half of the 1930s. The city is still ablaze with acute political events. Fakhri, aged 16-17, a self-reliant girl from the Bazar neighborhood, works in a sewing shop to help her family. In a short time "Maison Flor" at an intersection with Istanbul Street becomes the center of a love fever for the young Fakhri: Prince Amir, a French-trained lawyer, Georges, a romantic young man seeking justice, and Ahmad, her cousin.

Events move quickly, but according to Paul Alwar, "Love is not an event, it is an appointment, like an eternal understanding ...".
